Suite Integration

All five tools.
One connected workflow.

The ILX Suite communicates over a local IPC bridge. Finalize member forces in ILX Structures — and ILX Connection picks up the demand immediately. Run a footing in ILX Foundation — ILX Calcs already knows the column load. No spreadsheets. No copy-paste. No re-entered data.

Every tool stays synchronized so your workflow moves from structural analysis through design documentation in one unbroken chain.

Why ILX Studio

Built for small structural engineering firms.

Enterprise structural software is built for enterprises. Large teams, large budgets, large IT departments. ILX Studio is built for everyone else — the independent engineer, the 2-person firm, the boutique practice that needs every tool to work right the first day.

One suite. Five tools.

Everything from frame analysis to calculation documentation under one license. No patchwork of subscriptions from five different vendors.

Works on day one.

No training course. No implementation consultant. A structural engineer can download ILX Studio and run a real design check within the first hour.

PE-ready output.

Every tool generates calculation reports formatted for PE stamp and client delivery — with code section citations on every line, not just a final number.

Desktop. No cloud lock-in.

ILX Suite runs locally on Windows. Your projects, your data, your machine. No internet required to run a design check. No subscription suspension if a server goes down.

Fair pricing.

Professional engineering tools without enterprise software pricing. Contact us at info@ilxstudio.com for current pricing and suite bundle options.

Built on industry standards.

Every calculation traces to the exact AISC, ACI, ASCE, NDS, or IBC clause. No black boxes. The math is visible, cited, and defensible.

FAQ

Common questions about ILX Suite.

What is the ILX Suite?

The ILX Suite is a platform of five integrated structural engineering desktop tools built for small firms: ILX Structures (frame analysis), ILX Connection (AISC steel connections), ILX Concrete (ACI 318-19 concrete design), ILX Foundation (foundation and geotechnical engineering), and ILX Calcs (multi-material calculation templates). All five tools share live structural context through the IPC bridge, so your project data flows across the suite without re-entry.

Is ILX Studio structural engineering software for small firms?

Yes — that is exactly what ILX Studio is built for. Small structural engineering firms and independent engineers who need professional, code-compliant tools without the cost and complexity of enterprise software platforms. ILX Suite runs on a standard Windows desktop, requires no IT infrastructure, and is priced for individual practitioners and small practices.

Which building codes does ILX Suite support?

ILX Suite covers the primary US structural codes: AISC 360-16 (LRFD and ASD) for steel, ACI 318-19 and ACI 318-14 for concrete, ASCE 7-22 for loads and load combinations, IBC 2021, NDS 2018 for wood and timber connections, NDS CLT Supplement (PRG 320), TMS 402-20 for masonry, and AISI S100-16 for cold-formed steel. Foundation tools reference Terzaghi-Peck bearing capacity theory, Rankine and Coulomb earth pressure, and NAVFAC DM-7 pile methods.

How do the five ILX tools work together?

All five tools communicate over a local IPC (inter-process communication) bridge. When you finalize member forces in ILX Structures, ILX Connection and ILX Concrete can receive those forces immediately — no copy-pasting loads. When you size a footing in ILX Foundation, ILX Calcs already knows the column load. The same project data flows from analysis through design through documentation without re-entering data at each step.

Do ILX tools produce PE-stamped calculation reports?

Yes. Every ILX tool generates calculation reports in PDF format. Reports include the full calculation chain with code section citations on every check (e.g., "φMn = φFyZx [AISC 360-16 §F2.1]"), load diagrams, design summary tables, and a signature block for the engineer of record. Reports are formatted for building department submissions and client deliverables.

What operating system does ILX Suite require?

ILX Suite is a Windows desktop application (Windows 10 / Windows 11, 64-bit). It runs locally — no internet connection required to run design checks. A license key is validated once at activation; after that the software works fully offline with a 24-hour offline grace period for license re-validation.

How is ILX Studio priced?

ILX Suite is available as a per-seat desktop license. Suite bundle pricing is available for firms licensing multiple tools together. Contact info@ilxstudio.com for current pricing and volume discounts.
